The earliest surviving examples of lingling-o, dating back to around 500 BC, were found in Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The name lingling-o comes from the Ifugao name for these ornaments. Crafted using traditional brass casting techniques, these Double Lingling-o bangles are sourced ethically through Ifugao Nation.
Each bangle measures 7 3/4" in circumference with a break so you can pull it open to place on to your wrist, and have it with a wider gap if your wrist is bigger.
Each flat bangle are 3/8" in width.
The lingling-o at present has gained popularity as a symbol of Philippine ancestry and pride, more importantly, fertility and feminine power.
